Present Harling Work Almost Finished

The main task of replacing the harling on this face of the church is almost complete. All the scaffolding came down last week after the gutters and drain pipes had been painted. The surfaces are now being left to settle and dry. The plan is that when the weather is consistently above a certain temperature the workmen will return to lime wash the walls. They can do this from a cherry picker so no more scaffolding needed at the front. The on-site masons were meticulous in keeping the area clean and safe and very respectful when their work was interrupted by weekday funerals.

NB The church building has another three sides!!!!
