As most local folk know the Isle of Bute Parish Church (aka the ‘High Kirk’) is surrounded by a large graveyard. For over 500 years this has been the final resting place for generations of fascinating Brandanes. There are some amazing stories attached to the sometimes very ornate gravestones. A local historian and life long supporter of the Church has created a quiz, the answers to which can be found among the graves.
The Fundraising Committee are providing a Pie and a Pint Supper after the Quiz in the Church Centre on Friday 17th July 2026 – price £10. See here for more details.
